Evaluating Your School District's Sex Education Program

Nobody cares about your child more than you do. Therefore, you, as a parent, have the most important role in the education of your child and that is to make sure that they are being educated well and responsibly.

One of the areas where this responsibility is most significant is in the area of sexuality education. With the rampant spread of adolescent pregnancy and sexually transmitted diseases (STDs), more schools are making the discussion of human sexuality a part of their curriculum.

The trouble is that instruction on such an issue can be very volatile. Some of the curricula can be very helpful and educational, while others can be nothing more than the introduction of alternative sexual values that have very unhealthy consequences for your child. How can you distinguish one from the other?
