Hook Your Kids on Fishing

• Rods and reels

• Bait

• Tackle (hooks, weights, etc)

• A cooler full of drinks

• Lots of snacks

• Something to sit on

• Sunscreen

• Polarized sunglasses (they help you see into the water by reducing glare)

• First aid kit

• Insect repellant (mosquitoes live near the water)

• Fingernail clippers to trim and cut fishing line

• Needle nose pliers (for removing hooks from various places)

• Floatation vest (if you’ll have really young kids going near the water’s edge)
