Our Ultimate Priority as Parents

Offer the Good News to Your Child

Scripture speaks often about the Gospel of Jesus Christ. “Gospel” literally means “Good News.” The Good News is so simple a child can believe it and so profound no theologian will ever fully grasp it.

“Timing is critical,” says Dr. James Dobson. “Researcher George Barna confirmed what we have known — that it becomes progressively more difficult to influence children spiritually as they grow older.” Among Barna’s findings:

  • Americans ages 5 to 13 have a 32 percent probability of accepting Jesus Christ as their Savior.
  • Americans ages 14 to 18 have only a 4 percent likelihood of trusting the Lord.
  • Americans ages 19 to 99 have only a 6 percent probability of doing so.
