About Us
Listen to the cries of moms and dads who’ve written to us:
| “We are so exhausted by day’s end! Once the weekend rolls around, we both want to collapse. We want to spend time with our daughter but need some ideas for a weary mind. We seem to be all tapped out.” |
| “My husband struggles with correcting our 8-year-old son's behavior. His frustration turns to anger very easily. Are there strategies he/we can use to control this so that our son learns respect as well as discipline?” |
|
“I am a divorced mom and new to Christianity. I need all the help I can get to change my life and hopefully my daughter's.” |
|
“Thank you for being there to partner with parents like me! Our spirits are willing but our schedules and disciplines are weak!” |

Today’s parents are often harried and worried. They desperately want their children to:
- grow into strong adults with good values.
- become independent.
- avoid negative influences in the media.
- have great time being part of the family.
- learn to manage money.
- have good eating and exercise habits.
- develop a strong religious faith, and so on.
Most parents believe it is a lot harder to raise children today than it was a generation ago. Yet they also know that these few years with their kids will pass quickly and should be treasured. Is there a way to successfully raise children in a hostile culture and still enjoy the journey?
We believe there is. Focus on Your Child is a membership program designed to help parents bond together, share practical advice, and encourage one another to make the most of the parenting years. (See the benefits of becoming a member.)
This program is an outgrowth of Focus on the Family, which was founded 25 years ago to address the needs of parents during the post-war baby boom. All the resources developed over those 25 years are now being retooled and put into the hands of parents who are raising the millennial generation.
